At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Samsung is showing the Odyssey G6 (model G60H) – what it describes as the world’s first gaming monitor with a 1,100 Hz refresh rate. The 27-inch display is aimed squarely at competitive players.
Two modes, one panel
The Odyssey G6 uses a Fast IPS panel with a native QHD resolution (2,560 × 1,440 pixels) and a 1 ms response time. The twist is a dual mode: at full QHD the monitor manages up to 600 Hz, while dropping to a lower HD resolution unlocks the full 1,100 Hz. At 1,100 Hz the gap between two frames is under a millisecond – an edge in titles such as Counter-Strike 2 or Valorant, where every millisecond counts.
Samsung stays downtown, off the show floor
Unlike in previous years, Samsung is not showing its 2026 line-up in the main Messe halls but at the Humboldt Carré in central Berlin. The company remains an official IFA exhibitor nonetheless. Alongside the monitor, its Micro RGB TVs, OLED sets and Bespoke AI home appliances share the spotlight.
Price and availability
Samsung has not named a price so far. A global launch is planned for the second half of 2026. The Odyssey G6 first appeared publicly at Gamescom in Cologne in late August 2026 before returning at IFA. How large a premium the extreme speed commands will likely decide how well the model sells.
