At IFA 2026 in Berlin, German audio veteran beyerdynamic introduced the Aventho Y, a deliberately everyday over-ear headphone that pairs active noise cancellation and marathon battery life with a repair promise that is rare in the category.
The manufacturer’s headline claim is stamina: beyerdynamic cites more than 90 hours of playback with noise cancellation off and up to 60 hours with ANC on. A quick-charge function is said to deliver roughly six hours of music after five minutes on the cable. Sound comes from 45-millimetre dynamic drivers, and the connection runs over Bluetooth 6.0 with multipoint for seamless switching between devices.
Built to last
The sustainability angle stands out: according to beyerdynamic, the battery sits in a user-replaceable slot in the left cup, and the ear pads attach magnetically so they can be swapped out. The move targets a longer service life and taps directly into the EU’s right-to-repair debate. Aluminium sliders, stainless-steel hinges and a foldable design are meant to underline durability, while the companion app offers EQ profiles, genre presets and firmware updates.

The Aventho Y is available now at a recommended price of 149 euros (149.99 US dollars in the States) and comes in four finishes: Liquid Black, Blue Fusion, Soft Jade and Peach Blush.
