EcoFlow used IFA 2026 in Berlin to unveil two new power stations: the compact RIVER Gen4 series for the road and the rugged PowerRock 4000 for professional use. Both are on display from 4 to 8 September in Hall 2.2 at booth 166, flanked by the OCEAN 2 and STREAM home storage systems.
RIVER Gen4: small, quiet, with UPS
The RIVER 260 Gen4 packs 256 Wh of capacity (LFP battery) and 300 watts of continuous AC output, rising to 600 watts with X-Boost. At roughly 3 kilograms it targets day trips; according to EcoFlow it charges to 80 percent in 42 minutes and runs below 30 decibels at loads up to 200 watts. The larger RIVER 520 Gen4 doubles capacity to 512 Wh and delivers 500 watts (up to 1,000 watts with X-Boost). Both models offer a UPS function with a switchover time under 10 milliseconds. The 260 is due in Europe in the fourth quarter of 2026 and the 520 in the first quarter of 2027; EcoFlow has not yet announced prices.
PowerRock 4000 for the job site
The PowerRock 4000 plays in a heavier league. The 3 kWh station delivers up to 4 kilowatts of continuous power and, according to EcoFlow, up to 7.2 kilowatts peak for about 100 seconds – enough to briefly handle tools with high startup loads. The 38 kilogram metal housing is IP65 certified, survives one-meter drops and includes a 30 mA residual current circuit breaker. The target audience is construction sites, events, film production and emergency response. EcoFlow grants a three-year warranty; European sales are starting, with broad retail availability planned from November 2026.
Home storage on the sidelines
At the booth EcoFlow is also showing the three-phase OCEAN 2 home storage system, which bundles PV generation, storage, whole-home backup and energy management, plus the STREAM balcony-power series. Both are already on the market and round out the portfolio at the top and bottom ends.
