Fosi Audio Debuts DISC Nano Portable CD Player at IFA 2026

The CD, long declared dead, is back: budget HiFi specialist Fosi Audio is showing four new devices at IFA 2026 in Berlin (4 to 8 September, Hall 10.2, Booth 101) and is leaning on an unusual hook, the portable DISC Nano CD player.

With streaming dominating how people listen, the Chinese manufacturer wants to bring the silver disc back, paired with modern technology. Alongside the DISC Nano, Fosi is presenting the ZH1 desktop converter, the Carbon12 in-ear monitor and the S3 Lite streaming transport. Over the past few years Fosi Audio has built a reputation as a maker of affordable HiFi components.

DISC Nano: CD with Bluetooth and MagSafe

According to the manufacturer, the DISC Nano combines a half-exposed disc design with a CS43198 DAC. Fosi lists a 3.5 mm and a balanced 4.4 mm output; music can also be sent wirelessly to headphones via Bluetooth. A MagSafe mount is meant to make attachment easier. Fosi has not yet stated battery life. The launch is slated for late September 2026, priced at 99.99 US dollars or 109.99 euros.

ZH1, Carbon12 and S3 Lite

Per its spec sheet, the ZH1 desktop DAC uses an ES9039Q2M converter, PCM up to 32-bit/768 kHz, DSD512 and up to 2,000 milliwatts of balanced output, priced at 149.99 dollars (169.99 euros). Also at 169.99 euros, the Carbon12 IEM features a 12 mm carbon driver. The S3 Lite streaming transport (without its own DAC) is already available for 199.99 dollars.
