Asus has started global shipments of the Ascent QN10. Considered the first mini PC built around Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon X2 Elite ARM platform, the machine targets users looking to run demanding local AI workloads within an ultra-compact desktop form factor.
Powerful ARM Hardware in a 0.7-Liter Chassis
At the heart of the desktop sits the Snapdragon X2 Elite (X2E-88-100), manufactured on a 3-nanometer process. The processor features 18 Oryon CPU cores alongside an Adreno X2-90 graphics unit. For AI processing, it integrates a Hexagon NPU capable of delivering up to 80 TOPS (trillion operations per second in INT8 format). The system is backed by soldered memory: while 16 GB configurations exist, most models deploy LPDDR5X-8533 at up to 32 GB. Storage options include 512 GB, 1 TB, or 2 TB, with two internal M.2 2280 slots supporting PCIe Gen4 x4 SSDs.
Despite these specs, the chassis remains remarkably compact: measuring 130 x 130 x 40 millimeters, it takes up roughly 0.7 liters of volume and weighs around 620 grams (1.6 pounds). Power is supplied via an included 180-watt power adapter.
Connectivity and Software Ecosystem
When it comes to connectivity, the device includes modern standards. Wirelessly, the mini PC connects via Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. Physical ports reportedly feature an HDMI 2.1 output and a fast 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port. Several USB connections are available for peripherals: reports note three USB4 ports as well as up to four traditional USB-A ports.
On the software side, Asus provides buyers with access to the Qualcomm AI Hub, where developers and users can download more than 175 optimized AI models. This setup allows the NPU’s compute power to be harnessed directly for image processing, large language models, and developer tools.
Pricing and Availability
The computer was first showcased at Computex 2026. With the global rollout now underway, retail prices vary noticeably across regions and vendors. In the US, retailer Newegg lists a configuration with 32 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD for $1,699. In the UK, one seller is asking £2,181.99. In Singapore, a model equipped with 32 GB RAM and 1 TB of storage is priced at S$2,629, while the base configuration in China (16 GB / 512 GB) starts at 9,999 yuan.
