Huawei has opened pre-orders for the Watch D3, a smartwatch focused on cardiovascular monitoring powered by an integrated micro air pump and AI support. Starting at €449 (MSRP), the device is available in Black, Mocha Gold, and Pale Gold, targeting users who want regular blood pressure and ECG readings directly on their wrist.
Medical Certification and Measurement Technology
Unlike many conventional smartwatches that merely estimate blood pressure using optical sensors, the Watch D3 employs the classic oscillometric measurement method. Integrated into the casing is a tiny 19 x 19 x 2.5 mm micro air pump that inflates an airbag inside the strap up to 299 mmHg. The system holds CE-MDR certification under European medical device regulations as well as Chinese NMPA Class II approval.
This certification covers both single manual readings and 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM). During continuous monitoring, the watch takes at least 20 daytime readings and seven nighttime measurements at intervals between 15 and 30 minutes. An additional ECG feature can be activated with a 30-second touch. In initial real-world tests, the system showed minimal deviations of around 5 percent compared to standard upper-arm monitors such as the Beurer BM27, translating to a difference of minus 6 mmHg for systolic and plus 4 mmHg for diastolic pressure.

Compared to the predecessor D2, Huawei reduced the case thickness by 15 percent down to 11.3 millimeters; it weighs 40 grams without the strap. The 1.92-inch AMOLED display offers a pixel density of 328 PPI at 60 Hz and reaches a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits.
The built-in 540 mAh battery takes between 75 and 90 minutes for a complete recharge. According to the manufacturer, the watch lasts up to six days under typical usage—which includes six blood pressure checks and five ECG readings per day. However, activating 24-hour monitoring reduces battery life to about one day. The watch runs on HarmonyOS, supports both Android and iOS, and offers more than 100 workout modes. Although the casing is IP68-certified, Huawei explicitly advises against swimming or showering with the device.

The recommended retail price is €449. Voucher codes can bring the early-bird entry price down to €429. Owners of a previous Watch D model can claim a €100 loyalty trade-in bonus, dropping the price to €349. Additionally, Huawei is bundling the watch with either the Scale 3 body fat scale or FreeBuds SE 4 earbuds as part of launch promotions running through late September 2026.
