DJI, best known worldwide for drones and gimbals, is pushing hard into the robot vacuum market: at IFA Berlin (4 to 8 September 2026) its Romo 2 series makes its European debut at the booth in Hall 20-129. The two models, Romo P2 and Romo A2, were already unveiled in China in May 2026 and are now coming to Europe – alongside the Osmo 360 II 360-degree camera and a new power ecosystem.
What the Romo 2 can do
At its core is suction of up to 36,000 Pa – a clear jump from the 25,000 Pa of the first Romo released a year earlier. For navigation, DJI relies on a sensor combination of LiDAR, binocular fisheye cameras and ToF sensors, designed to recognise transparent obstacles, thin cables and pet bowls. Its most striking feature is a movable robotic arm that extends up to 123 degrees to reach edges and corners.
Climbing, mopping, self-cleaning
The top model clears single obstacles up to 4 cm and double thresholds up to 8.5 cm high. The base station washes the mops with hot water, dries with hot air and sterilises via UV light. In China the Romo P2 costs around 5,999 yuan (roughly 750 euros); concrete European pricing and a final release date remain open.
Taking on the incumbents
With the Romo 2, DJI is aiming squarely at established market leaders Roborock, Ecovacs and Dreame. Whether a brand name forged in the drone world is enough to compete in the fiercely contested premium segment should become clear in Berlin, in front of a European audience for the first time.
