Signify is opening its Hue ecosystem to third-party hardware: a new Philips Hue wall light module ties Nanoleaf Shapes directly into the Hue environment from September 3, 2026, priced at 39.99 euros.
Up to 100 panels in the Hue system
The roughly 7.87-centimeter module replaces the original Nanoleaf controller and is compatible with the Shapes lines Hexagons, Triangles and Mini Triangles. According to the manufacturer, up to 100 panels can be integrated. They then appear as regular lights in the Hue app and can be added to scenes, schedules, automations and Entertainment setups.
Zigbee instead of Thread
Connectivity runs via Zigbee and Bluetooth, with Matter added through the Hue Bridge; Thread is not supported. Per panel, the module offers five separate color points that can be controlled through Hue scenes and effects. Nanoleaf’s complex multicolor animations from its own app do not carry over, however.
