At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Acer unveiled the Predator XB253Q U1 – which the company calls the world’s first gaming monitor to reach a 1000 Hz refresh rate at native Full HD resolution.
1000 Hz on 24.5 inches
The 24.5-inch IPS panel runs at 1920 × 1080 pixels and pushes 1000 Hz, the highest native figure yet at 1080p. Earlier 1000 Hz announcements only hit that rate at reduced resolution. Acer rates response time at 0.3 milliseconds in its VRB Pro mode, which is meant to curb motion blur and ghosting. The target audience is esports players in titles such as Counter-Strike or Valorant, where every millisecond counts.
Features and connectivity
The monitor is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified, hits 400 nits natively and up to 450 nits in HDR mode, and covers 90 percent of the DCI-P3 gamut. AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync Compatible keep frames smooth, while a “Circular Polarizer” is designed to cut reflections and eye strain.

Price and availability
The Predator XB253Q U1 is due in the first quarter of 2027 in North America and the EMEA region. Acer lists a starting price of 1,099 euros and 1,099.99 US dollars, with 7,999 yuan planned for China. That is a steep premium over fast 360 or 540 Hz displays, so the XB253Q U1 clearly targets committed competitive players. It is part of a range of eight new Acer monitors that stretch up to 5K at 165 Hz.
