At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Minisforum unveiled two machines that fold local AI and storage into a single chassis: the AI Agent NAS N5 MAX-P495 and the MS-S1 MAX-P495 mini workstation. Both run on AMD’s new Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 – and the NAS holds up to 200TB, the company says.
A NAS that also computes
Ordinary network storage only shuttles data back and forth; the N5 is meant to process it too. At its heart sits the Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 with integrated Radeon 8065S graphics, which Minisforum rates at up to 131 TOPS of AI compute. It pairs that with 192GB of memory at 8533 MT/s, up to 160GB of which can be assigned as graphics memory – enough to run larger language models directly on the device.
200TB and on-device AI agents
The N5 accepts up to 200TB of local storage, Minisforum says, serving as a central store for data, models and long-running AI workloads. The company pitches running agents such as OpenClaw or Hermes directly on the storage, so sensitive data never leaves your own network. The MS-S1 mini workstation shares the same chip and memory ceiling but targets desktop use.

Price still open
Minisforum has not yet named prices or a ship date. Both devices are on show from September 4 to 8 in Hall 6.2-104. Anyone planning today should weigh the Pro platform’s premium against ready-made NAS boxes – the real novelty here is that compute and storage move into one enclosure rather than working apart.
