VoiceStudio: Open-Source, Fully Local Alternative to ElevenLabs

Anyone wanting AI voices without cloud, account or API key will find in VoiceStudio an open-source, fully local alternative to ElevenLabs. The app bundles voice cloning, voice design, video dubbing, dictation, transcription and audiobook creation in up to 646 languages.

Everything local, no cloud

VoiceStudio (formerly OmniVoice Studio) runs entirely on your own machine – no user account, no API key and no data sent to the cloud. That is especially attractive for privacy-sensitive use. A “Model Catalogue” bundles various TTS, transcription and LLM engines in one workspace, including device routing and install state.

Who it is for

For podcasters, content creators and developers who want speech synthesis and transcription without ongoing cloud costs and without depending on a single provider. The source code is freely available on GitHub.

Part of a trend

VoiceStudio is part of a growing set of local, open-source voice-AI tools – a counterpoint to expensive, cloud-bound services. For privacy and full control over your own data, the local approach is a clear plus.
