Free Kindle book? That’s a bit of a shocker. Just checked, the UVP is normally around £8.99. This feels like a pricing error.

Agreed, looks like a genuine mistake. I’ve seen these kinds of errors on Amazon before. Not sure if it’s limited stock or just a glitch.

Niche is okay. I prefer it that way. Less competition for the plot twists. But still, free is a great way to sample.

Exactly. I’ve grabbed a few free Kindle books just for fun, and some of them turned out to be pretty decent. It’s a low-risk way to explore new genres.

Just downloaded it. It’s the first book in a series, so I guess it’s worth grabbing if you like mystery/thriller novels. Not much else to say, but free is free.

That’s a fair point. I’ve read a few of the Stoker and Holmes series before. The writing is solid, but I’d say it’s more of a niche genre. Not for everyone.

I read a few of these while waiting for my coffee to brew. Not bad, but I’d say it’s not the best use of your time if you’re not into the genre.

Does it have any kind of DRM or restrictions? I’ve had trouble with some free Kindle books not working properly.

      1. tom_h

Not that I can tell. It’s a standard Kindle edition. Should work on any device linked to your account. No restrictions mentioned on the product page.

        1. YvonneOS

That’s fair. But if it’s free, I say go for it. I’ve wasted far worse on a whim.

    4. Felix_L

Not sure if it’s worth the time, but I’ll give it a go. Might be a bit of a stretch for me, but free is always a yes.

      1. Thomas_K

Yeah, if you’re into the genre, it’s a no-brainer. I’ve read a few of these. Not bad for a quick read.

I’m not a huge fan of mystery, but I’ve heard good things about this author. Might be worth a try just for the story.
