190$ für ein 12.2″ Tablet mit 128GB? That’s a solid deal. I’ve been eyeing this for a while.

I need a tablet for photo editing. Any ideas on screen quality here?

From what I’ve seen, the TCL Tab A1 Plus has a decent IPS panel. Not the best, but good for casual use. For heavy photo work, you’d want something with higher resolution or better color accuracy.

So, if I’m not doing pro-grade stuff, this might work. Any issues with build quality?

          1. MoritzB

Not sure. But for the price, I’d expect it to be at least reasonably durable. Maybe not for heavy use, but okay for a tablet.

I’m still on the fence. If the screen is good enough for light photo work, I might give it a try.

If you’re not doing pro work, it should be fine. I’d say go for it. 190$ is a good price.

128GB is a bit limited for a tablet. I’ve seen similar models with 256GB for the same price.

      1. Marie_K

If you’re a gamer, that storage might be tight. I’ve got a 256GB version on my desk, but it’s not much faster.

        1. Jan_K

Agreed. 128GB is okay for light use, but not ideal for gaming or media-heavy stuff.

Bought one last week for 210$. Just got it in the mail. Works fine, but the screen is a bit glossy.

      1. Dealjaeger78

I’ve read that the glossy screen is a common complaint. Any issues with HDMI 2.1 or panel type?

        1. Detlef_DD

No HDMI 2.1. Just standard. Not sure if that’s a dealbreaker for you. The panel is IPS, though.

          1. Jan_K

Agreed. 190$ is a solid price for a tablet with 128GB. Just don’t expect miracles.

I’d check the audio codecs if I were you. Not sure if it supports high-res audio.

          1. chris_p

It’s standard AAC and MP3. No support for FLAC or ALAC. Not a big deal for most.

For the price, I’d say it’s a good balance. Not perfect, but nothing to complain about.
