Sound quality is pretty decent for the price, but I’d be cautious about the build – JBL’s cheaper models can be a bit flimsy over time.

I’ve had these for about six months now. They hold up well even with daily use, and the bass is surprisingly tight for the price. Not the best for critical listening, but solid for casual.

That’s a solid point. For someone like me, who’s up late and uses headphones for background noise, does the battery last through the night?

I’ve got them on my desk and use them all night while working. The battery lasts through the whole shift, but I do have to take them off to charge midday.

That’s a relief. I use mine for commuting and the battery lasts through the day. The only downside is the lack of a case, which makes them a bit more fragile.

They use AAC and SBC codecs, right? I’m curious if they support higher-end ones like LDAC or aptX – that could make a big difference for audiophiles.

I’d be more concerned about the power draw. If these are constantly on and using Bluetooth, it might add up over time. Not a big deal, but something to consider.

Depends on the usage. If you’re just streaming music, not too bad. But if you’re using them for calls or voice commands, that’s another level of drain.

Heard these are good for outdoor use. I’ve got a similar pair for my sprinkler system – work fine in the rain, but the battery life could be better.

I’ve used similar ones for DIY projects – they’re pretty tough. I’d say the battery life is average. Not great, but not terrible either.

Any local control? I’m always wary of devices that require constant cloud connection. Not that I’m anti-smart tech, but it’s a dealbreaker for me.

  4. NadineB

Not sure how relevant this is, but I’ve noticed these are often bundled with smart home devices. Could be a good buy if you’re expanding your setup.

    1. Olaf_R

That’s a fair point. If you’ve got other smart devices, this could be a good fit. Just don’t expect them to be the centerpiece of your audio system.

      1. Hanna87

Still, the cloud dependency is a concern. I’ve had issues with similar devices losing connection or requiring updates. Any idea how reliable the app is?

      2. Timo90

I’ve used these with my smart home setup and the app works pretty smoothly. Not perfect, but it’s functional. Just make sure you’re not relying on them for critical functions like security alarms.

I’m more of a hardware guy, but I’ve seen these in smart home bundles. They’re not the best for serious listening, but they do the job if you don’t need much from them.
