Just got one, works great with my Fire TV and Alexa. No lag, very responsive.

That’s a solid price drop. I use mine for gaming – feels snappier than the regular remote.

That’s a downside for me. I prefer local control without cloud dependency. Any alternatives?

Works with any Alexa device, as long as it’s connected to the same network. No issues for me.

I’ve had mine for a year now. It’s a bit flimsy, but it works. No complaints about the voice commands.

Battery life is decent – about a week with regular use. I’ve never had to charge it more than once a week.

No, the mic is pretty good. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than the stock remote. Works fine in a quiet room.

20 bucks is a steal. I use mine every day, and it’s been flawless. Worth the money.

Does it support Matter or Zigbee? I’m looking for something that integrates well with Home Assistant.

Check out the Amazon Fire TV Cube. It’s a bit pricier, but it gives you more control and even better voice integration.

  3. Mario74

Nope, it’s just Alexa voice control. Works with Alexa devices, but not with Zigbee or Matter. Not bad for basic use, though.

    1. MarkusR

What about with other Alexa-enabled devices? I’ve had issues with some remotes not working seamlessly with my Echo Dot.

  4. DanielS

The Cube is more of a hub, though. If you just want a remote, this one is fine. Just don’t expect smart home integration.

Any issues with sound quality when using voice commands? I’ve had some remotes where the mic picks up too much background noise.

    2. Conny_B

I’ve used it with my Fire Stick and Fire TV. No issues with lag or responsiveness. Solid all-around remote.

  5. Kaffeejunkie72

Any issues with the battery life? I travel a lot and need something that lasts.
