How the device gets into Home Assistant
- official ZHA – with a Zigbee coordinator and the ZHA integration; the quirk the device needs is part of ZHA.
- official Aqara hub – paired with an Aqara hub that works as a Matter bridge (such as the M3 or M2), which shares supported devices with Home Assistant.
- add-on Zigbee2MQTT – Zigbee2MQTT runs as an add-on and passes the device on to Home Assistant over MQTT.
Known problems and fixes
Open problems
- open The lumi.remote.b1acn02 remote only reports 'toggle' actions, not single/double/long presses. Updating the quirk would let Home Assistant recognize these advanced press actions.
Requests for ZHA support
- support requested The Aqara Curtain Motor B1 is not fully supported in ZHA, so it cannot be controlled via Home Assistant automation or scenes. Adding support would allow users to open/close the curtain motor remotely and integrate it with smart home routines.
- support requested Support for the Aqara E1 Wireless Mini Switch is requested. It is not yet possible to use this device with Home Assistant via ZHA, and the proposed change would enable integration.
Changes proposed for ZHA
- pull request Aqara mini switch (lumi.remote.b1acn01) currently does not support triple or quadruple button presses. The proposed change would enable these additional press types for more control options.
