The Win10Telemetry list blocks the domains that Windows 10 sends its data to. It ensures that Microsoft receives less data about you, and does so without any noticeable limitations. The list is provided by the YouTube channel SemperVideo.

Session Replay
Session replay is the ability to replay a visitor’s journey on a website or within a mobile or web application. The replay can include the user’s view, user input, and logs of network events or console logs. In the process, data such as credit card numbers can also be collected. The Session Replay blocklist blocks the best-known session replay providers. This helps keep your own data from spreading as much as possible.

Samsung Telemetry
The Samsung blocklist blocks domains used, for example, to retrieve statistics. It is therefore comparable to the Win10Telemetry list.

Fake Streaming and Debt Collection
This blocklist blocks streaming services that supposedly provide movies once you have registered. A few days later a payment demand follows, referring to a debt collection agency. Legally, however, this does not hold up. More on this here.

Custom RegEx Entries
Regex entries (short for regular expressions) are patterns used to search for or filter specific character strings or patterns in text. In Pi-hole, you can use regex entries to block or allow domain names flexibly and efficiently.
What do Regex entries do in Pi-hole?
In Pi-hole, regex entries help to block or allow certain patterns of domains instead of adding each domain individually to the blacklist or whitelist. This is especially useful when you want to block many similar domains that share a common string in their name. For example:
- A regex entry like
.*ads.*blocks all domains that contain the string “ads” anywhere, such asads.example.com,myads.site, etc. - With an entry like
.*\.tracking\..*you can block all domains that contain the word “tracking”, e.g.analytics.tracking.netortracking.example.com.
By using regex entries you can therefore create dynamic and powerful rules that help to block or allow a wide variety of unwanted content all at once.
