UniFi ist das, wor\u00fcber im Homelab geredet wird: VLANs, mehrere Access Points, saubere Trennung, professionelle Verwaltung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Vergleich hinkt bewusst, weil beide unterschiedliche Fragen beantworten. Alles andere ist Geschmack oder Budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Die zwei Dinge, die UniFi nicht kann<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Telefonie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eine FRITZ!Box ist auch Telefonanlage: DECT-Basis f\u00fcr Mobilteile, Anrufbeantworter, Rufnummernverwaltung, Anschluss analoger Ger\u00e4te. <strong>UniFi hat davon nichts<\/strong> \u2013 f\u00fcr ein Heimnetz gibt es keine Entsprechung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wer Festnetztelefonie nutzt, hat damit die Antwort: Die FRITZ!Box bleibt, oder es kommt eine separate Telefonanlage dazu. Das ist der h\u00e4ufigste Grund, warum ein Wechsel scheitert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Modem<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die FRITZ!Box bringt je nach Modell ein DSL- oder Kabelmodem mit. <strong>UniFi-Gateways sind reine Router<\/strong> \u2013 sie brauchen davor ein Modem oder einen Glasfaser-Anschlusspunkt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bei Glasfaser ist das meist unproblematisch. Bei DSL und Kabel brauchst Du entweder ein separates Modem oder betreibst die FRITZ!Box davor im Modem-Modus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Die zwei Dinge, die die FRITZ!Box nicht kann<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WLAN dort, wo es gebraucht wird<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das ist der st\u00e4rkste Grund f\u00fcr UniFi. Eine FRITZ!Box steht dort, wo der Hausanschluss ist \u2013 meist im Flur, im Keller oder in einer Ecke. Das WLAN strahlt von genau dieser Stelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bei UniFi h\u00e4ngt der Access Point <strong>an der Decke in der Mitte der Wohnung<\/strong>, mit Netzwerkkabel und PoE. Das ist funktechnisch eine v\u00f6llig andere Ausgangslage \u2013 und der Grund, warum UniFi-Netze in gro\u00dfen Wohnungen und H\u00e4usern sp\u00fcrbar besser abdecken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Repeater und Mesh mildern das Problem, l\u00f6sen es aber nicht: Ein Repeater halbiert im ung\u00fcnstigen Fall den Durchsatz, weil er auf demselben Kanal empf\u00e4ngt und sendet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Saubere Netztrennung<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wer IoT-Ger\u00e4te, Kameras, G\u00e4ste und Arbeitsger\u00e4te wirklich trennen will, kommt mit einer FRITZ!Box nicht weit. Der verbreitetste Aufbau in deutschen Homelabs sieht so aus:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>FRITZ!Box bleibt<\/strong> \u2013 als Modem und Telefonanlage.<\/li>\n\n<li>Ihr WLAN wird <strong>abgeschaltet<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n<li>Ein oder zwei <strong>UniFi Access Points<\/strong> \u00fcbernehmen das WLAN, per Netzwerkkabel angebunden.<\/li>\n\n<li>Optional kommt sp\u00e4ter ein UniFi-Gateway dazu, und die FRITZ!Box wandert in den reinen Modem-Modus.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Damit bekommst Du die bessere Funkabdeckung, ohne Telefonie und Modem zu verlieren. <strong>Der Einstieg kostet dann nur einen Access Point<\/strong> statt eines kompletten Systemwechsels \u2013 und Du kannst jederzeit weitergehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Haken: VLANs funktionieren in diesem Aufbau nur eingeschr\u00e4nkt, weil die FRITZ!Box das Routing macht. Entweder du h\u00e4ngst nur Access Points ins bestehende Netz, oder du betreibst die FRITZ!Box im Modem-Modus und l\u00e4sst ein UniFi-Gateway routen. Beides ist \u00fcblich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Verliere ich meine Telefonie?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nur wenn Du die FRITZ!Box komplett entfernst. Im Modem-Modus oder als reine Telefonanlage bleibt sie nutzbar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ist UniFi-WLAN schneller?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nicht zwangsl\u00e4ufig bei gleicher Entfernung \u2013 aber gleichm\u00e4\u00dfiger \u00fcber die Fl\u00e4che, weil die Access Points dort h\u00e4ngen, wo sie hingeh\u00f6ren. Genau das erlebt man im Alltag als \u201eschneller&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Brauche ich Fachwissen f\u00fcr UniFi?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">F\u00fcr den Grundbetrieb nicht, die Einrichtung ist gef\u00fchrt. F\u00fcr VLANs, Firewall-Regeln und Routing schon \u2013 das ist der eigentliche Aufwand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Was ist mit FRITZ!Box Mesh?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Es funktioniert und ist f\u00fcr viele Wohnungen ausreichend. Der Unterschied bleibt die Anbindung: Ein per Kabel angebundener Access Point schl\u00e4gt jeden funkangebundenen Repeater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Und wenn ich es g\u00fcnstiger will als UniFi?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dann ist TP-Link Omada die naheliegende Alternative \u2013 dazu <a href=\"https:\/\/netguide.io\/versus\/de\/unifi-vs-tp-link-omada\/\">UniFi vs. TP-Link Omada<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fazit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die FRITZ!Box ist kein schlechtes Ger\u00e4t, das man ersetzen m\u00fcsste \u2013 sie ist ein sehr gutes Kombiger\u00e4t f\u00fcr den Normalfall. <strong>Wer Festnetz nutzt, in einer Wohnung mit gutem WLAN lebt und nichts konfigurieren will, sollte sie behalten.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UniFi lohnt sich, sobald einer von drei Punkten zutrifft: <strong>Funkl\u00f6cher \u00fcber mehrere Etagen<\/strong>, <strong>der Wunsch nach echter Netztrennung<\/strong>, oder <strong>Kameras und Zutritt aus einem System<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Und der pragmatischste Einstieg ist fast immer der Mittelweg: FRITZ!Box behalten, ihr WLAN abschalten, einen UniFi Access Point an die Decke.
