August 2026 die Version 4.6.8 erschienen. Das Wartungsupdate ist vor allem sicherheitsrelevant: Es schlie\u00dft 28 Schwachstellen (WNPA-SEC-2026-64 bis -91), von denen neun bereits beim \u00d6ffnen einer gespeicherten Aufzeichnungsdatei ausgel\u00f6st werden k\u00f6nnen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Gro\u00dfteil der L\u00fccken betrifft Abst\u00fcrze in Protokoll-Dissektoren \u2013 also den Bausteinen, die Wireshark zum Zerlegen einzelner Protokolle nutzt. Betroffen sind unter anderem die Dissektoren f\u00fcr RDP, Kerberos, SSH sowie mehrere Bluetooth-Protokolle. Da sich viele der Fehler \u00fcber manipulierte Capture-Dateien ausl\u00f6sen lassen, ist besonders vorsichtig, wer fremde Mitschnitte \u00f6ffnet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Konkrete Korrekturen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Stack-Puffer\u00fcberlauf<\/strong> im K12\/RF5-Writer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lesezugriff au\u00dferhalb der Grenzen<\/strong> im BLF-Writer bei abgeschnittenen, VLAN-getaggten Ethernet-Frames.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>NULL-Zeiger-Dereferenzierung<\/strong> im Entschl\u00fcsselungspfad des KNXIP Secure Wrapper.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dazu kommen zahlreiche Korrekturen bei der Verarbeitung von Dateiformaten wie pcapng, Endace ERF oder Vector BLF. Windows-Nutzer profitieren zudem von zwei Komfort-Fixes: Die \u201eCapture File Properties&#8221; bremsten die Anwendung seit 4.6.6 aus, und das Umschalten der TCP-Einstellung zur Analyse von Sequenznummern f\u00fchrte zu einem Absturz.
