With a capacity of 1,000 VA/600 W, the tower UPS offers 10 connections, including five with battery backup. The UPS has a hot-swappable battery with 108 Wh, which provides around seven minutes of runtime at half load of 300 W. At full load, the runtime is around 2 minutes.

The device is line-interactive and offers protection against power surges. The UPS is managed via Ethernet and supports both the UniFi Alarm Manager and NUT support for third-party devices. With an output of 1.5 kVA/1,000 W, eight connections and a field-replaceable battery, it is designed for larger IT installations. At half load of 500 W, the battery provides around eight minutes of runtime. At full load, it takes around 2.3 minutes.

The 2U UPS is also line-interactive, supports Ethernet management, the UniFi Alarm Manager and NUT for third-party devices. With a weight of 13.7 kg and galvanized steel housing, it offers a robust rackmount design (442.4 x 300 x 87.4 mm).

Technical highlights

Both models offer:

AC input voltage: 170-280 V

Simulated sine wave in battery mode

Protection against overload and short circuit

LED displays for status and battery charge

Operation at altitudes of up to 3,000 m and temperatures of 0-40 °C

Comparison with other solutions

Compared to competitor products such as the CyberPower Office Rack OR1500ERM1U, which offers similar rack UPSs with 1.5 kVA/900 W output, the UniFi models score points above all thanks to their integration into the UniFi ecosystem and management via Ethernet. This enables centralized monitoring and alarming for network administrators.

The tower variant is a space-saving desktop solution, while the 2U variant supports professional rackmount installations. Both models are particularly suitable for companies that rely on continuous network availability and simple integration into existing UniFi systems.

The new UniFi UPSs are now available in Germany.

The network manufacturer UniFi has introduced two new uninterruptible power supplies (UPS): the UniFi UPS Tower and the UniFi UPS […]

[326,286,288
62,320,290,378
post-1069","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-en","category-ubiquiti","category-unifi","tag-news","tag-ubiquiti","tag-unifi","tag-ups
["GET
