The first stable 10.0 builds landed in late 2025 – for example 10.0.123 on 6 December 2025 – and the line has since matured to version 10.6.x.

What’s new

The jump to version 10 is less about a single headline feature and more about automation and usability. At its heart is a significantly expanded official Network API: unadopted devices can now be listed and adopted directly via API, and the zone-based firewall – including ACLs and VLAN information – is now programmatically manageable. IPv6 gained support for the interface identifier in firewall rules. On top of that come interface refinements – such as statistics directly in the Port Manager, better filtering and tidier policy tables – along with stricter validation, for QoS policies among others.

Later 10.x releases pushed further: according to Ubiquiti, version 10.5 introduced “Safe Ops” with “Test & Confirm,” which tests configuration changes before they are permanently applied and automatically rolls back if something goes wrong, plus RFC 4638 support for larger PPPoE packets. Version 10.6 reportedly added a “Drift Inspector” for Blueprints and a “Topology Spotlight” for quickly highlighting individual devices.

Expanded Network API: list and adopt unadopted devices

Zone-based firewall, ACLs and VLANs manageable via API

IPv6 interface identifier in firewall rules

Statistics in the Port Manager, better filters, tidier policy tables

Safe Ops / Test & Confirm with automatic rollback (from 10.5)

Availability and update note

The final versions are available in the official release channel; Ubiquiti distributes them via UniFi consoles as well as a self-hosted package and Docker image. As always, a backup and a look at the minimum requirements are advisable before updating – Ubiquiti regularly raises Java and operating-system prerequisites with new major versions. Anyone running production networks should also check that their device firmware matches the respective 10.x version.

<p
